Online Work Out Routines That Rock

in Work Out Routines

I’m a huge fan of online work out routines, for several reasons. They’re cheap (or free), you can do them any time, and access them from anywhere. There are also a huge number of different classes to choose from. Sometime this choice can be a little daunting, so I’ve listed some of my favourite routines as a starting point.

Pop Pilates
Cassey from Blogilates has been posting videos on her you tube channel for a while now, so there are loads to choose from. I tend to go for the full body work outs when I do them, this one is a regular. Watch out for the spiderman push ups!

Equipment required: Yoga Mat

Pop Cardio & Pop Kicks
I did these two routines a few weeks ago, and they are killer. Cassey recommends doing them 4 times in a row to build up your stamina and boost your fitness. When I did these videos, rather than doing one of them four times in a row, I alternated between them, so Pop Cardio, Pop Kicks, Pop Cardio, Pop Kicks. The result was me walking funny for the best part of a week. I’m currently building up the courage to do them again. You’ve been warned.

Hollywood Bootcamp
If you’re looking for something a little more structured, this is a 70 day, 5 day a week online fitness program featuring lots of videos designed to burn fat, and tone your whole body. I’m working my way through the program now, and am really enjoying it. The best thing about it, is that I don’t have to think about what exercise will be best to do, I just log in to my profile in the morning and hit play on the day’s video. The video below is just a snippet of one of the work outs, you can sign up to the program through Exercise.com. It’s only £12.50 for the whole program, and once you’ve signed up, you can do the videos again and again.

Equipment required: Yoga Mat, Dumbbell Pair – 1.5kg, Medicine Ball – 3kg
Cost: £12.50/$20

If you have a favourite online work out routine, I’d love to check it out. Please go ahead and link to it in the comments below. Thanks!

I’m a big fan of Sparkpeople.com (lost a lot of weight with them a few years back) and I love their online video workouts. They’re more for beginners and weightlosers than hardcore exercise fiends I guess, but then that’s why they appeal to me ;) They’re non-daunting and really accessible, there’s loads of variety, general and targeted workouts, gentle workouts and harder ones, videos using various pieces of equipment or none at all, and they’re all free. :)

My mom used to follow online work out routine before. I was just watching her do that every morning and then I got interested because of my tummy. I usually do the Pop pilates routine. Great post!. XD
